Support matched to operational reality

Aligned Practice Advisory supports NDIS providers from registration and establishment through to operational assessment, implementation, higher-risk practice assurance and ongoing capability. Each engagement is scoped to the provider's actual stage, responsibilities and risk — not fitted into a generic package.

Initial enquiries are free. If you are not sure where to begin, tell us what is happening or what you are preparing for. We will tell you what appears necessary, what does not, and whether Aligned is the right fit. Any proposed scope and fees are confirmed before work begins.

Registration

Registration & Establishment

Structured support for providers preparing to apply for NDIS registration, respond to registration requirements, or build the operational foundations needed before service delivery begins. Depending on scope, this may include registration strategy and scope, governance and responsibility mapping, project and requirements planning, application and evidence-readiness coordination, and foundational policies, workflows and records.

Aligned supports readiness and implementation. Registration decisions are made by the NDIS Commission, and certification or verification audits are conducted by Approved Quality Auditors. No registration or audit outcome is guaranteed.

Assessment

Operational Assessment / Audit Readiness

R.I.T.C.H. is Aligned's named operational assessment methodology. It examines how the provider's responsibilities, systems and daily practice align across Rules, Instructions, Tools, Checkpoints and Hard Truths, viewed through the Human, Practice and System lenses.

A R.I.T.C.H. engagement may include an agreed evidence review, interviews or observation where relevant, a findings report and prioritised risk register, a recommended action roadmap, and a handover meeting. The exact inclusions are confirmed before work begins.

Targeted audit-readiness support can also be scoped where a whole-of-operation R.I.T.C.H. Assessment is not required. We help clarify applicable requirements, organise evidence, test whether responsibilities and records align, find where evidence or controls are missing or weak, and coordinate corrective actions before external scrutiny.

R.I.T.C.H. is an operational consulting assessment. Aligned does not conduct certification or verification audits, predict an auditor's findings or guarantee an outcome.

How we assess

Each R.I.T.C.H. area is considered through three lenses: Human — what is happening for the person; Practice — what is workable and sustainable; and System — what the provider's obligations, governance and evidence require.

Scope and fees

Scope and fees are confirmed in writing after an initial discussion and depend on the provider's stage, service scope, complexity, locations, urgency, available evidence and level of implementation support required. The written scope sets out deliverables, responsibilities, assumptions, exclusions, timeframes and fees before work begins.

Implementation & Correction

The Aligned Cycle

The Aligned Cycle is our named implementation and correction approach. It turns findings, obligations, decisions or defined operational problems into operational change: clear governance and roles, policies and procedures, workflows, forms and registers, escalation arrangements, monitoring controls, implementation planning, worker communication and handover.

It may follow a R.I.T.C.H. Assessment or begin with a defined issue where the required facts are already known. Where the scope cannot be defined safely without further assessment, we will say so before proceeding.

Higher-Risk Supports

Support-Plan Implementation & High-Risk Practice

Aligned supports providers to translate current participant support plans into clear operational responsibilities, workflows, worker preparation, documentation, monitoring, escalation and review controls. This may include behaviour support, mealtime, health, mobility and other practitioner-developed plans.

For providers implementing behaviour support plans or regulated restrictive practices, work may also include responsibility mapping, authorisation and reporting workflows, operational records, registers, data and monitoring controls, incident interfaces, review processes and audit-evidence organisation.

Aligned does not assess, author, clinically interpret, vary or approve participant-specific plans, replace practitioner-led clinical training or competency assessment, act as a behaviour support practitioner, or authorise the use of a restrictive practice.

Ongoing Support

Capability & Ongoing Support — Capability Support

Clearly scoped ongoing advisory support for providers that need continuity after establishment, assessment or implementation work. Depending on scope, this may include planned check-ins, review of agreed operational evidence, document updates, action and risk tracking, decision support and implementation follow-through.

Each arrangement specifies included hours, access, response times, review rhythm, deliverables and exclusions. Capability Support is designed to strengthen internal capability, not create dependence or imply unlimited access.

Additional Support

Additional scoped support

Policy and resource review or development

Practical documents and tools that reflect the provider's actual scope, responsibilities and operating model.

Defined risk deep dive

Focused review of an identified operational or compliance issue where broader assessment is not required.

Operational implementation training

Training on roles, workflows, systems and resources within Aligned's scope. This does not replace practitioner-led clinical training or competency assessment.

Public-claim review

Marketing creation is not part of our service. Where specifically agreed, we may review public wording to identify claims that appear inaccurate, unsupported or inconsistent with the provider's registration, capability or actual practice.
